Junior + U23 Program Overview

DCHP Summer Junior and U23 Training Camp focuses on quality training blocks with a lot of skill progress tracking, physiological testing (2k, 6k, lactate), strength development, and mental skill sets. This program is ideal for athletes who wish to focus on process, develop their physiology, build extensive mental skill sets, and collaborate with highly experienced coaches. The program will factor in the individual goals of the athletes involved.

Overview

Dates: June 5th - July 31st

Technical Development

The program places a big emphasis on technical development across boat classes. Athletes will have a great coach:athlete ratio and work with coaches who have a combined 18 years of elite level training and coaching experience.

Physiological Development

The program focuses on teaching athletes how to train at a high level, tracks physiological progress throughout the summer, and sets athletes up to be impactful in their year round programs.

While internal assessments and progress tracking are high, this program does not focus on racing.

Mental Skillsets

The program centers around process, goal setting, and team oriented skill sets. Research shows that these are the skill sets which drive high performance, build capacity to handle adversity, and allow athletes to take on leadership roles on a team.
